Jason Wagner is the President of Ward & Oehler. Jason was raised on a farm in Wabasha County. He represents businesses and families in Southeastern Minnesota in a variety of practice areas including estate planning, probate, farm and business law, and real estate.
Jason received his Juris Doctor degree and business law concentration, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 2013, and his Bachelor of Arts degree, with high distinction, from the University of Minnesota in 2009. Jason was recognized for his commitment to public service in law school and as a Community Engagement Scholar in college. He is active in civic and professional organizations, including Elder Network (past President of the Board), Rochester Rotary Risers (2019-2020 President), St. Pius X Catholic Church, Rochester Estate Planning Council, Legal Assistance of Olmsted County Volunteer Attorney Program (2014 New Volunteer Attorney of the Year), the Minnesota State Bar Association, and the Olmsted County Bar Association.
Jason has been featured in a regional newspaper and other publications for his work on family farm transitions and conducted many farm succession planning workshops throughout Southeastern Minnesota. Jason was also selected to the 2020 Minnesota Rising Stars list for estate planning. An honor that no more than 2.5% of lawyers in the state are selected to receive each year.
