Ward & Oehler, Ltd. now offering Network Attorney Coverage through ARAG Legal Insurance for Estate Planning Matters

May 7, 2020

There are several local employers who are now offering ARAG legal insurance to their employees. If you have coverage, you likely had to sign up for the plan during open enrollment in November, with benefits starting in January 2020. As a plan member, you have coverage for a variety of legal matters.

Attorneys Alyssa Jerde and Maggie Cook are now Network Attorneys with ARAG and are providing Estate Planning services through the program. Most of the plans we're seeing are "paid-in-full", meaning that the estate planning services provided to plan members are paid in full by the plan, leaving little to no out-of-pocket costs to the client.

If you have ARAG legal insurance, the first step to connecting with one of our Network Attorneys is calling ARAG Customer Care, where a specialist will review your situation, provide coverage information, and help you decide if you want to get advice over the phone or in-person. You can reach ARAG Customer Care at (800-247-4184) from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Central Time.

Once you are connected with Alyssa or Maggie, we will ask you to forward your Case Assist Form to our office, which outlines and confirms your plan coverage. We will then send you our Estate Planning Welcome Kit for you to complete before you book an initial consultation.

After we've completed your documents, we will schedule a time for you to sign in one of our three offices located in Rochester, St. Charles, or Red Wing. We bill ARAG directly, so the only out-of-pocket expense you may incur is for work completed on your behalf that is not covered by your plan. Most plan members get 25% off our regular hourly rates for anything not covered in full by your plan, though this will vary depending on your coverage.

Now is a great time to review or update your estate plan. Contact us today to set up your consultation!
